Ipek has been an assistant for more than twelve different courses including a couple of graduate level courses over the last six years (twelve academic terms) at Koç and Sabancı University. She also took participation in teaching in various courses including “Intergroup Relations”, “Conflict”, and “Attitudes, Persuasion and Social Influence”. She taught laboratory sessions of the “Testing and Measurement” and “Research Methods and Statistics for Psychology II". She prepared an extensive syllabus for the laboratory sessions of Testing and Measurement course, including preparing hands-on exercises and slide shares. She also gained very first experiences of her on teaching a grad-level course in 2024.
Ipek took three statistical courses during her master’s and two statistics courses during her doctoral studies. She learnt entire ANOVAs, multiple regressions, logistic regression, multilevel regressions, structural equation modeling, path analysis, growth curve models, mixed models, CFA, measurement invariance, and Monte Carlo simulations*. She has a solid understanding of statistical terms like statistical significance and statistical power. While she conducts her own research, she makes decisions considering the aforementioned knowledge. Also, she is also well-aware of unethical research practices such a p-hacking and HARKing.
